NFL teams weigh trade options for Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has recorded just four targets in two games for the Arizona Cardinals, a stark contrast to expectations for a former No. 4 overall draft pick. Head coach Mike LaFleur has indicated a preference for other receivers, citing the roles of All-Pro tight end Trey McBride and veteran wideout Kendrick Bourne on short routes. The Cardinals recently extended wideout Michael Wilson with a three-year, $75 million deal, and must decide whether to exercise the fifth-year option on Harrison’s rookie contract.

Analysts suggest several clubs could be interested in acquiring Harrison. The Baltimore Ravens, whose general manager Eric DeCosta has been active in the trade market, might consider a second-round pick for a receiver who could complement Rashod Bateman while Zay Flowers recovers from injury. The Buffalo Bills, after adding veteran DJ Moore, could offer Harrison a role as a perimeter target alongside Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir, with the possibility of retaining him through the fifth-year option.

The Houston Texans, dealing with injuries at wide receiver, could pair Harrison with quarterback C.J. Stroud, a former college teammate, to bolster a struggling passing attack. In Kansas City, the Chiefs could use Harrison as a reliable option for Patrick Mahomes, especially as other receivers have faced injuries and contract uncertainties. Finally, the Las Vegas Raiders, lacking a clear top wideout, might view Harrison as a long-term solution alongside tight end Brock Bowers and rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Each potential destination offers Harrison an opportunity to increase his target share and reestablish the production he showed in his rookie season, when he logged 62 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns.
