Toys R Us reportedly plans 120 new U.S. stores ahead of holidays
WSB-TV reported that Toys R Us is expected to add a standalone location at the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, as part of a reported plan to open 120 new stores across the United States before the holiday season. USA Today reported that the retailer plans to increase its U. S. footprint from 40 to 160 standalone locations, with the new stores slated for the upcoming holiday period. NBC News noted that rising adult and teen toy purchases are driving the expansion, while Fox Business said the rollout is being carried out in partnership with Go!
Retail Group. The New York Post cited a 17 % rise in U. S. toy sales as part of the rationale.
