Texas Senate race poll shows Paxton and Talarico nearly tied
A Texas Southern University poll found the U. S. Senate contest in Texas essentially even between Republican incumbent Ken Paxton and Democratic challenger James Talarico, and noted internal divisions among moderate Republicans.
Newsweek reported a September survey of likely voters that gave Talarico 50% to Paxton’s 45%. USA Today cited a Texas Pulse poll released in September that showed Talarico at 49% and Paxton at 43%. NBC News said a recent Texas poll found Talarico slightly ahead of Paxton, with both margins falling within the surveys’ error ranges.
