Apple adds same-day iPhone 18 Pro store pickup amid delivery delays
Apple announced that customers in multiple countries could pick up the iPhone 18 Pro on the same day at select stores, after online delivery estimates stretched to two-four weeks on 18 September. Apple set a 9 p. m. PT deadline on 11 September for the “Get Ready” pre-order option, 9to5Mac reported. The company began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at 5 a. m. PT on 12 September, MacRumors said.
Apple’s U. S. online store went offline just before the launch, MacRumors noted. Initial shipping estimates showed many configurations slated for launch-day delivery, but later updates indicated most iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max units would not arrive until October, with only a limited number expected by late September, 9to5Mac reported. Analyst Jeff Pu observed that most iPhone 18 Pro models were available immediately, whereas the Pro Max faced three-to-four-week waits, 9to5Mac quoted. Pre-ordered iPhone 18 Pro units began arriving in Australia and New Zealand on 18 September, MacRumors reported.
