Prince Harry confirms children’s school transfer amid security concerns
Prince Harry confirmed on 18 September that his son Archie and daughter Lilibet have begun attending a new school in Britain after the couple withdrew them from their previous preparatory school over security concerns, Page Six reported. The school move follows a letter from King Charles III that described the Sussexes as private citizens, a clarification reported by Page Six. Earlier in September, Uganda announced it would not take part in the 2027 Invictus Games in response to the same clarification, but the decision was later reversed after a call between the Ugandan armed forces chief and the king’s senior aide, Newsweek reported. A poll cited by Yahoo found that 91% of respondents view the couple as private citizens.
Page Six and Yahoo reported that Prince William was skeptical about the brothers’ return, and Woman & Home noted that the royal family is considering a face-to-face meeting with Harry. Meghan Markle shared Instagram footage of the children’s outings after the relocation, as reported by the Daily Express and ABC News. Harry also made his first official appearance at the Invictus Spirit Awards in London, ABC News noted.
