Pro Football Hall of Fame Cuts Committee and Revamps 2027 Selection Rules
The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, announced that, beginning with the 2027 class, it will cut its selection committee in half, limit the number of finalists and change the way coaches, contributors and players are evaluated. Earlier announcements from the Hall of Fame said it had reduced the committee from 50 to 28 members, eliminated the seniors ballot and returned to in-person meetings for the 2027 induction cycle, streamlining the voting system.
