Maria Bartiromo's lawyer refutes firing claims after Fox News departure
Maria Bartiromo's lawyer in New York said on 4 September that reports she was fired by Fox News were false, after the network announced her departure the previous day. Fox News announced on 3 September that the longtime anchor was no longer with the network, thanking her for more than a decade of service and noting that her shows would be temporarily reassigned. The network added that the exit was a business decision following Bartiromo's reported sharing of an internal directive with the White House that advised against covering election-fraud claims.
