Kelley Wolf attributes recent mental health crisis to drug-induced mania after divorce
The former Real World star said she was diagnosed with breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis following her separation from husband Scott Wolf, and apologized for actions taken during the episode.
Kelley Wolf disclosed that she experienced a severe mental health episode after separating from her husband, Scott Wolf, of more than 20 years. In an Instagram post on Aug. 28, she said doctors diagnosed her condition as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis, which she attributed to a combination of stress, past trauma, hormonal changes and the interaction of hallucinogens with prescribed medication.
Wolf, who announced the split in June 2025, was granted temporary custody of their three children and a restraining order against her at that time. She was later arrested on misdemeanor charges related to electronic harassment and doxxing, but those charges were dismissed.
In her statement, Wolf expressed remorse, apologizing to her ex-husband and children for the harm caused by her actions and accusations made during the illness. She said she is focusing on recovery and rebuilding relationships with her family.
Scott Wolf responded to her post with a brief comment of support, posting several heart emojis.
