Apple raises Apple TV and Apple One subscription fees
Apple increased the monthly price of its Apple TV streaming service to $14.99 and lifted the individual Apple One bundle to $21.95, marking the latest price adjustments for the company's media offerings.
Apple announced on Friday that the monthly subscription for its Apple TV streaming service will rise from $12.99 to $14.99, or $119 per year compared with the previous $99 annual fee. The change follows a similar increase a year earlier, when the price moved from $9.99 to $12.99.
The company also adjusted the cost of its Apple One bundle, which combines Apple TV, iCloud storage, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade. The individual plan now costs $21.95 per month, up from $19.95.
Apple TV, launched in 2019 at $4.99 per month, offers original series such as "Ted Lasso," "The Morning Show," and "Severance," as well as exclusive rights to the Charlie Brown specials and Formula 1 racing. Apple Music’s price was increased in July from $10.99 to $11.99 per month.
The price hikes occur amid broader industry trends, with other streaming platforms including Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, Max and YouTube Premium also raising fees in recent years.
Apple reported a record June quarter revenue of $109.4 billion, surpassing analysts’ expectations, driven by strong iPhone sales, higher Mac revenue, and tariff refunds that added roughly 5% to profit. The company has not yet responded to requests for comment.
