Pattinson hopes Hansen will enjoy satirical film "Primetime" at Venice
Robert Pattinson said he hopes former "To Catch a Predator" host Chris Hansen will enjoy the satirical thriller "Primetime" as it premiered at the Venice Film Festival on 3 September, Newser reported on 7 September. Earlier in the week, Hansen walked out of a private screening after refusing to sign a broad NDA, and his company purchased pre-show ads to promote his TruBlu streaming service, the Los Angeles Times said. He had also said he might consider legal action against A24 after being offered a waiver of his name and likeness rights, Deadline reported.
Variety noted that Pattinson’s portrayal was overly dramatic but the trailer offered a decent imitation. The Hollywood Reporter added that Hansen’s family reacted positively to the trailer. The film, directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Pattinson, debuted at Venice with strong early reviews and a 92% Rotten Tomatoes rating, Deadline said.
