NFL weighs self-imposed suspension for 49ers owner Jed York
The NFL said on August twenty-seventh that it is weighing a self-imposed suspension for San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York after his no-contest plea to misdemeanor charges stemming from an Ohio prostitution sting. York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, on August twenty-third after police said he used a false name to arrange a meeting with a person he believed to be a prostitute.
He later pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools, receiving a one-day jail sentence and fines, authorities said. The league confirmed the case will be reviewed under its personal-conduct policy.
