ARK Invest adds $27 million of SpaceX shares across its ETFs
ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, purchased roughly $27 million of SpaceX stock on Friday, making the company its second-largest holding after Tesla.
ARK Invest increased its exposure to SpaceX by buying an estimated $27 million of the aerospace firm’s shares across several of its exchange-traded funds on Friday. The purchase moves SpaceX to the second-largest position in ARK’s portfolio, trailing only its stake in Tesla. The firm’s filings show the acquisitions were made through multiple ETFs that track different thematic strategies.
"SpaceX remains a core component of our growth-oriented investments," a spokesperson for ARK Invest said. The added shares reflect ARK’s continued confidence in SpaceX’s commercial launch and satellite businesses, which have attracted significant investor interest amid expanding demand for space-based services.
