U.S. Secret Service reviews protection for Barron Trump after Iranian threat video
The U. S. Secret Service said it is reviewing protection options for Barron Trump after an Iranian state-run video threatened the president’s son and referenced his online accounts, and officials declined to disclose operational details.
The agency also placed three officials on administrative leave while a misconduct probe proceeds and confirmed it continues to monitor the same video. Secret Service officials had previously acknowledged awareness of the broadcast, which Iranian state television aired, claiming it could track Barron Trump and announcing a $10 million bounty on him.
