Indiana Fever End Two-Game Skid with 113-90 Win Over Chicago Sky
The Fever snapped a two-game losing streak, improving to 25-14 after a 113-90 victory over the Sky, with Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combining for 14 three-pointers.
Indiana halted a two-game losing streak on Sunday, beating the Chicago Sky 113-90 and moving to a 25-14 record. The Fever entered the game as 3.5-point favorites and completed a season sweep of Chicago despite the absence of forward Aliyah Boston, who was sidelined with a lower-leg injury.
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana’s offense, connecting on a total of 14 three-pointers. Sophie Cunningham contributed three points off the bench. Chicago’s top scorer was Natasha Cloud, but her efforts could not offset Clark’s scoring and playmaking.
The Sky held a narrow 51-50 lead at halftime, thanks to a balanced attack that saw eight players score at least four points before the break. Indiana’s early surge was aided by Makayla Timpson, who received a behind-the-back pass from Clark.
In the third quarter, Clark and Mitchell took control, delivering deep threes, floaters and drives that widened the gap. Chicago remained within striking distance heading into the fourth quarter, largely due to a late scoring burst from Cloud, but the Fever’s defensive intensity in the final period prevented any comeback.
The win restores momentum for Indiana as the Eastern Conference standings remain tightly contested, with only a few games separating the second and eighth seeds.
