Washington County identifies suspect in Forest Grove mass shooting, later suicide
Washington County officials said on 25 August that 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker was identified as the suspect in a mass shooting that killed five people and several animals near Forest Grove, Oregon, and that he later died by suicide in Washington state. Earlier, on 20 August, Washington County authorities reported that five people and multiple domesticated animals were found dead at a rural home near Forest Grove, classifying the incident as a homicide.
The sheriff's office later identified the five victims and named Parker, the boyfriend of victim Stella Kimsey, as the alleged gunman. Police subsequently discovered Parker dead in his car in Enumclaw, Washington, in an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
