The league unveiled the eight matches scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, including fixtures involving Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton and newly promoted Ipswich Town.

The Premier League announced eight games for Saturday, Aug. 22, marking the start of the 2026-27 season. Hull City host Manchester United at 7:30 a.m. (U.S. time), followed by three 10 a.m. matches: Everton versus Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town against Sunderland and Nottingham Forest versus Leeds United, all streamed on Peacock. A 12:30 p.m. clash sees Brentford take on Tottenham Hotspur on NBC.

Ipswich Town return to the top flight after a single season in the Championship and will face Sunderland, who finished seventh last season and will compete in the Europa League. Both clubs aim to improve on their previous campaigns.

Everton, managed by David Moyes, host Crystal Palace, who qualified for the Europa League after winning the Conference League. Everton will field debutant Hayden Hackney in midfield, while Palace’s new manager Pierre Sage seeks to retain key players amid transfer speculation.

Hull City, promoted last season, line up in a 5-4-1 formation against Manchester United. Coach Sergej Jakirovic emphasizes quick counter-attacks, with striker Oli McBurnie leading the forward line.

Manchester United, now under full-time manager Michael Carrick, travel to Hull City. New signings Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos start in midfield, and the squad includes several experienced bench options.

The schedule provides a mix of established clubs and newcomers, setting the tone for the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign.
