Apple leaks reveal camera AirPods, new Beats 360 headphones and upcoming iOS 27 features
Leaks from a macOS Tahoe 26.7 build and retailer listings disclosed prototype camera-equipped AirPods, a Beats 360 over-ear headphone, and details of iOS 27 and other upcoming Apple devices.
Apple’s internal macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate contained references to several unreleased products, including a prototype of AirPods with an integrated camera. A short demo shows the camera capturing a book title, accompanied by on-screen text that reads, "With Visual Intelligence, your world becomes savable. See something you like? Just ask me to save it for later." Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman later indicated that the camera-equipped AirPods are not expected to ship until next year.
The same build also hinted at more than 20 other devices, such as new Mac, iPhone and iPad models, an updated Apple TV box with an A17 Pro chip or newer, and a home-hub device featuring a Widget Gallery and a Smart Stack that rotates widgets based on usage patterns.
Retail listings have revealed details of the Beats 360 over-ear headphones, which will offer interchangeable ear and headband cushions in Performance Knit and UltraPlush materials, be available in multiple colors, and provide sweat- and water-resistance. The model claims a 1.75-times improvement in noise cancellation over the current Beats Studio Pro.
Apple plans to launch iOS 27 in September, introducing a context-aware Siri powered by generative AI along with roughly 30 new features for iPhone users.
