Cardinals rookie RB Jeremiyah Love diagnosed with high-ankle sprain, out a week
Arizona Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur announced on August 17 that rookie running back Jeremiyah Love had been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain and would miss at least one week of preseason action. Love had logged 14 touches for 73 yards in the first half of his preseason debut on August 13, helping Arizona build a 24-14 lead, NBC Sports reported.
LaFleur later said the injury was more serious than first thought, sidelining Love for the next preseason game. Fox News added that all four of the Cardinals’ 2024 draft selections had suffered injuries, with two placed on season-ending injured reserve, complicating the team’s rebuilding plans.
