Karoline Leavitt to Leave White House Press Office for MAGA PAC
Karoline Leavitt said she will leave her role as White House press secretary and join the Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc. , adding that she will accompany President Donald Trump to a midterm rally. Earlier in the month, Leavitt announced her resignation effective at the end of August, citing family considerations after an 18-month tenure marked by frequent clashes with reporters.
While officials have not yet named a successor, White House sources have mentioned former GOP strategist Scott Jennings as a leading candidate, and President Trump joked that Leavitt seemed to be putting her children before him. Leavitt’s departure follows a series of reports that highlighted her youth, her appointment at the start of President Trump’s second term, and speculation about a possible male replacement, with names such as Jennings and former Bush aide Ari Fleischer circulating in the media.
