Google launches Pixel 11 Pro with higher price, reduced RAM and AI upgrades
Google introduced the Pixel 11 Pro in the United States on August 22, noting a higher price point, reduced RAM, and AI-driven camera and translation tools powered by the new Tensor G6 chip, according to Android Authority. The launch followed a week-long promotional campaign that began on August 21 with $150 discount codes sent to U. S. customers via the Google Store and email, and gift-card offers up to $350 for pre-orders, as reported by 9to5Google, Engadget and The Verge.
Google also unveiled the broader Pixel 11 lineup—including slimmer designs, upgraded cameras, and the 2 nm Tensor G6 processor—with the Pro model priced from $899 on Amazon and an additional $100 gift card, according to Gizmodo and GSMArena. Android Authority noted an overall price increase of about $100 across all models. By August 22 the devices were available in stores across 24 countries, and early reviews in Android Central and Android Authority highlighted the new AI features but questioned the reduced hardware value compared with competitors.
