Defense completes case in Lindsay Clancy murder trial, prosecutors set to rebut
On 21 August, prosecutors were set to present rebuttal witnesses in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in Plymouth Superior Court, with closing arguments expected early next week, after the defense completed its case with forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick testifying remotely via Zoom. The defense had called a series of mental-health experts and family members, including Dr. Jennifer Tufts, psychiatric nurse practitioner Rebecca Jollotta, and Clancy’s former mother-in-law, who said the mother begged for help before the killings.
Earlier, prosecutors introduced phone-record evidence showing searches on hallucinations, bipolar disorder and postpartum depression, and a judge allowed them access to psychologist Dr. Paul Zeizel’s visit logs. Testimony also covered forensic pathologist findings and State Police digital evidence from the victims’ laptop and cellphone.
