USDA recalls nearly 30,000 pounds of Argentine beef in Florida and Texas
The Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on 12 August that it was recalling about 30,000 pounds of Argentine beef sold in Florida and Texas after the meat was found to have entered the United States without the required reinspection. The recall, first reported on 7 August, involved roughly 29,600 pounds of raw beef that had missed a mandatory FSIS reinspection, and the USDA classified it as a Class I recall after a problem was identified during a routine inspection.
