Apple rolls out public beta 4 for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27 and watchOS 27
Apple has released public beta 4 for its upcoming iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS operating systems, following the developer beta 6 release earlier today.
Apple announced the availability of public beta 4 for its upcoming operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, macOS 27 and watchOS 27. The iOS and iPadOS builds share the same version number as the developer beta 6 released earlier, while macOS uses build 26A5416b after a brief re-release.
The macOS 27 beta adds a new wallpaper and redesigned stoplight window controls for the Golden Gate interface, and it resolves a pinned-messages UI bug that persisted in earlier betas. Other updates include an updated notification animation on iOS and a refreshed preview icon on Mac that matches the recent iOS version.
Apple advises users to install beta software on a secondary device and to back up their primary iPhone before upgrading. Instructions for enrolling in the public beta program are provided on the Apple Beta Software Program website.
