Apple to unveil five new products, including iPhone 18 Pro and foldable, at September event
Apple said on August 13 that it will unveil at least five new devices at its September 9 keynote in Cupertino, including upgraded iPhone 18 Pro models, a foldable iPhone, refreshed Apple Watch series and potential smart-home hardware, and that CEO Tim Cook will become executive chairman. Earlier reports had expected Apple to announce multiple new products at the September event, with analysts citing a lineup of iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and a first folding iPhone. Leaker Mark Gurman told 9to5Mac that the foldable’s internal code name is “iPhone Ultra,” a detail later confirmed by a screen-protector leak showing an asymmetric front design.
MacRumors also reported that Apple is planning three Ultra-branded products – a foldable iPhone, AirPods Ultra with cameras and a MacBook Ultra with a touchscreen – for release between late 2026 and early 2027. The Verge noted that the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed to early 2027, with the premium iPhone 18 Pro and Ultra models slated for fall 2026, and MacRumors added that the foldable may launch first in the United States before rolling out to other markets.
