Russian soldier kills four in Crimea village, three injured
A Russian serviceman opened fire in the Crimean village of Khmelnytske on 4 August, killing three civilians and a fellow soldier and wounding three others, the Sevastopol governor said. The assailant was detained by authorities shortly after the shooting.
Earlier reports from The Moscow Times and Euronews described the same incident, noting that the soldier had shot fellow servicemen and civilians in Sevastopol and that four people were killed and four injured. CBS News later confirmed the death toll and the number of wounded, echoing the governor’s account.
