Three Charged with Threatening Judge, Witness and Officials in Nolan Wells Case
Federal authorities in Mississippi charged three individuals with making interstate threats against a chancery judge, a witness and local officials involved in the investigation of 18-year-old Nolan Wells' death. The charges follow a series of arrests that began earlier this month, when a California resident was arrested for threatening the judge and an Ohio woman was indicted for sending 29 bomb threats to Mississippi government offices. A third suspect, Edward James Porter, was later detained for allegedly threatening a witness in the same case.
