Usman Nurmagomedov’s Free Agency Fuels UFC Debut Rumors
On 7 August, MMA Fighting reported that Usman Nurmagomedov’s free-agency status sparked widespread speculation about a possible UFC debut and potential opponents. The speculation follows his first-round knockout of Archie Colgan at the PFL lightweight title bout in New York on 1 August, as detailed by MMA Fighting.
Shortly after, Khabib Nurmagomedov told reporters that his cousin would decide his next promotion within weeks, and the BBC later noted he would choose within a month. UFC president Dana White also said the organization is considering signing the lightweight champion.
