Saints lock up wide receiver Chris Olave with four-year extension worth up to $132 million
New Orleans signed Chris Olave to a four-year deal that could reach $132 million, including a $35 million signing bonus and $52.7 million fully guaranteed at signing.
New Orleans announced on Thursday that it has reached a four-year contract extension with wide receiver Chris Olave. The agreement could be worth as much as $132 million, with a $35 million signing bonus and $52.653 million fully guaranteed at signing.
The deal outlines a base salary of $1.293 million in 2026, rising to $29.76 million in 2030, with per-game roster bonuses of $80,000 each year that are fully guaranteed but must be earned. Guarantees increase over time, reaching $77.013 million fully guaranteed by 2027 and $90 million by 2028.
Performance escalators could add $2 million between 2027 and 2030 if Olave meets criteria such as first-team All-Pro honors, a Pro Bowl selection, 1,200 receiving yards, 101 catches or 10 touchdowns in a season, though he has not yet triggered any of these bonuses.
The contract also includes a $3 million offseason roster bonus for 2030 and a series of per-game bonuses that provide the Saints with injury protection, reflecting Olave’s nine-game absence in 2024 due to concussions.
