Aaron Donald brings speed trainer to Rams as comeback looms
Defensive tackle Aaron Donald brought his longtime speed-training equipment to the Los Angeles Rams’ facility as he weighed a possible return to the NFL, team officials confirmed. Coach Sean McVay had earlier said Donald was considering ending his retirement and that a decision would come after the Rams’ training camp.
The former star participated in a private workout, first testing full helmet and pads and later a helmet-only session that the team logged as a tryout, after which McVay noted he could still earn a roster spot. Defensive coordinator Chris Shula expressed that Donald’s return would be a major boost to the defense, and the organization indicated a decision could be reached in the coming days.
