Interlochen investigation uncovers decades-long sexual abuse, names Jeffrey Epstein
Interlochen Center for the Arts commissioned a law-firm investigation that documented 70 accounts of sexual misconduct by 47 faculty and staff members spanning the 1950s to the 2010s, including two allegations involving donor Jeffrey Epstein. The investigation produced a 97-page report that named the alleged perpetrators. Interlochen supplied the names to Grand Traverse County authorities for possible criminal review.
The school noted that none of the accused are presently employed by the institution and that many of them are deceased. In response, Interlochen issued an apology letter signed by President Trey Devey and Board Chair Barrett Rollins.
