CNN analyst reports sharp drop in moderate Republican support for Trump
Data analyst Harry Enten said a recent CNN/SSRS poll showed Trump's net approval among moderate Republicans fell from +69 points to +10 points, citing the economy and other issues as key factors. Earlier polls indicated the president's overall job approval was around 34 percent, with disapproval near 62 percent, marking the lowest net approval of his presidency. A separate CNN/SSRS poll similarly reported a 34 percent approval rating and a record level of strong disapproval.
Three major surveys released the same week placed Trump's overall approval between 32 and 34 percent, the lowest since early 2021. President Donald Trump, however, claimed on social media that his approval numbers were at a record high.
