Commanders complete Day 6 of training camp with roster updates
The Washington Commanders continued practice at their Ashburn, Virginia training camp on Day 6, with limited fan attendance and roster updates that included injuries and a recent retirement, Hogs Haven reported. Earlier, Riggo's Rag highlighted wide receiver Van Jefferson Jr. 's strong route running and speed as the offense expanded its playbook on Day 6.
The team’s first padded practice featured linebacker Sonny Styles making an immediate impact, according to a statement from the Washington Commanders. Safety Nick Cross was singled out as a top performer on Day 4, Riggo's Rag noted. The camp opened with five fan-open practices that sold out, Hogs Haven said, and head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Adam Peters outlined roster plans and expressed optimism at a press conference, also reported by Hogs Haven.
