CBS's '60 Minutes' sees associate producer resignation amid staff overhaul
Yahoo reported that associate producer Madeleine Carlisle resigned from CBS's "60 Minutes" on August 5 in New York, as the program continued a recent wave of staff departures. Earlier in July, CBS announced the addition of New York Times columnist Ross Douthat, author Sebastian Junger and Vice News reporter Gianna Toboni to the correspondent roster, as part of a broader staffing overhaul overseen by editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The network also confirmed the promotion of Norah O'Donnell and the hiring of other journalists, AP noted. A senior global affairs correspondent, Sir Trevor Phillips, described the revamp as a high-risk effort for CBS News leader Bari Weiss, Daily Beast reported.
