Giants hold 12-day training camp at West Virginia's Greenbrier resort

The New York Giants will spend two weeks at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia for training camp, using its performance facilities while their New Jersey complex undergoes renovations.

The New York Giants will conduct their 2024 training camp at the Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, from early August through mid-August. Rookies arrived Thursday, and veteran players are scheduled to travel from New Jersey later in the week.

The resort’s performance center, built in 2014, includes locker rooms, a weight room, hydrotherapy facilities and both grass and turf fields, which have previously hosted NFL teams such as the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns. The Giants selected the venue because their regular East Rutherford facility is under renovation and the Meadowlands complex is occupied with World Cup preparations.

Veteran tight end Chris Manhertz, who previously attended a camp at the Greenbrier, said the site offers “everything … tailored for us in terms of amenities, things we would need in the facility, the fields, the grounds.” Head coach John Harbaugh described the location as an opportunity for the team to focus on preparation, noting that the remote setting reduces travel hassles and provides a setting for team bonding.

The schedule includes ten practices, six of which will be open to the public, each beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET. Players will have a day off on August 2 before completing the final six days of practice and returning to New Jersey.

The Greenbrier’s mountain climate typically yields temperatures in the low 60s to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit with low humidity, offering cooler conditions than the team’s usual New Jersey training environment.
