A former partner of TikTok influencer Sara Gilson said she had repeatedly tried to leave her husband Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey despite protective orders before the couple were found dead in a July 23 murder-suicide in Owasso, Oklahoma. The partner’s comments were reported on July 27, 2026. Owasso Police Department said the man had been under investigation for alleged child sexual abuse in June and a protective order had been issued against him prior to the shooting.

Police responded to a 911 call on July 23 and discovered both victims with gunshot wounds at Gilson’s home. Earlier reports identified Duffey as a basketball coach facing allegations of lewd conduct with a minor.
