Packers CEO Rules Out Lambeau Field Naming Rights Sale
Packers chief executive Ed Policy affirmed at the 2026 shareholders meeting that the team will not sell naming rights to Lambeau Field, citing the club’s public-ownership structure and its revenue-generation strategy. The decision was announced in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Policy had earlier warned that the publicly owned franchise may need to boost revenue and explore new financing options as operating costs rise and other NFL clubs tap capital sources, according to ESPN. He also noted that the ownership model limits the Packers’ ability to raise large sums of capital, prompting calls for new revenue strategies, NBC Sports reported.
The team disclosed an operating loss for the 2025 fiscal year, driven by a $131. 7 million increase in player expenses while revenue grew modestly, the club said. It also received $453. 2 million from the NFL’s shared revenue pool, bringing total revenue to $753 million for the fiscal year, the organization disclosed.
