The show follows the character Ted Lasso, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, a small-town football coach who moves to England to manage a professional soccer team despite lacking soccer experience. In the upcoming season, the storyline shifts to Lasso taking charge of a second-division women’s soccer team.
"Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would," Apple said.
Returning cast members include Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift. The series, which first aired in 2020, has earned multiple awards and maintains a consistently positive tone.
