Panthers to cooperate with NFLPA after Scourton's ACL tear
The Carolina Panthers said they will fully cooperate with the NFL Players Association investigation after rookie outside linebacker Nic Scourton tore his ACL on the opening day of the 2026 training camp in Charlotte. Scourton was carted off on a stretcher after sustaining a right-knee injury during the first practice; the injury was later diagnosed as a torn ACL, prompting the team to place him on season-ending injured reserve and to sign former UFL defensive standout Cam Gill to bolster the linebacker group. Earlier, Scourton had been taken off the field on a stretcher following the knee injury, and the ACL tear was confirmed by team doctors before the roster move and the signing of Gill were announced.
