Boseman brothers sue widow, seek removal as estate administrator
According to court documents reported by TMZ, Derrick and Kevin Boseman filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court to remove their sister-in-law, Taylor Simone Ledward, as administrator of Chadwick Boseman's estate, alleging mismanagement and failure to comply with a prior court order. USA Today noted that the brothers also sued the widow, claiming she failed to distribute the estate and seeking a full accounting of assets. Page Six added that the lawsuit seeks to compel distribution of assets to the actors' parents.
The parents, Gloria and James Boseman, later filed their own petition in California court, asserting that Ledward has exercised unilateral control over the actor's rights and company, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Los Angeles Times reiterated the brothers' request for replacement of the administrator and for greater transparency in handling the estate.
