Amazon Prime Video replaces injured actor as Kratos in 'God of War' series
Ryan Hurst was injured on set in Vancouver, prompting Amazon Prime Video to replace him as Kratos in its upcoming 'God of War' series. According to Variety, the streaming service confirmed the recasting and said production would aim to resume by mid-fall. Game Informer reported that Hurst suffered a biceps tear, which forced a halt to filming after four episodes had been completed.
The pause allowed the series' producers, including Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, to plan reshoots with a new actor. Amazon Prime Video indicated the decision was final and that the series would move forward with the new casting.
