Trump Media launches paid real-time Truth Social feed for Wall Street
Trump Media & Technology Group announced in Washington a paid API that gives Wall Street firms millisecond-level access to selected Truth Social posts, CNN reported. The company said the service, dubbed Truth API, is intended to create a recurring revenue stream by delivering real-time updates from high-engagement accounts, including the president’s, to institutional investors, according to AP News. CBS noted that the offering targets high-frequency traders and other firms that rely on instant market information, and the firm indicated it would launch the service in the near term.
BBC later reported that the subscription service was set to begin on August 1, delivering instant updates to financial firms, while MS NOW confirmed the launch of the Truth API. Subsequent reports from Al Jazeera and CNBC said Trump Media was discussing fees of up to $100,000 per month, or $60,000 for a three-year contract, prompting criticism from Democratic lawmakers over potential conflicts of interest.
