Ukraine Sends Over 400 Drones Toward Moscow in Large-Scale Attack
Moscow’s mayor first said that more than 200 Ukrainian drones were detected heading toward the capital overnight, and the Russian defence ministry reported that its forces downed at least 375 drones across the country, according to ABC News. He added that the majority were intercepted by air-defence systems. Later, the mayor updated the figure to over 400 drones, noting that most were intercepted but some caused fires and injuries in the surrounding region, AP reported.
Business Insider said the drones included new mid-range strike models capable of reaching supply routes and depots up to 300 km behind the front, increasing pressure on Russian logistics. PBS quoted Ukrainian officials confirming the launch of more than 400 drones and Russian officials saying dozens were neutralised and several civilian sites were damaged, as both sides continued a cycle of retaliatory attacks.
