Police confirm suicide of former 'Storage Wars' star after bullying note; investigation closed
Lake Havasu City police said former 'Storage Wars' star Darrell Sheets died by self-inflicted gunshot after leaving a handwritten note that mentioned online bullying. The note, found at his home, specifically referenced Facebook harassment, and investigators identified an alleged online harasser who later denied any involvement. Police also reported that Sheets exchanged final text messages that suggested he was under personal stress in the days before his death.
After months of inquiry, Lake Havasu City prosecutors announced that no criminal charges would be filed and the investigation was formally closed. The case was closed without charges, leaving the bullying allegation unresolved.
