Dodgers, Braves and Phillies each have five players on 2026 All-Star rosters

सारांश

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game roster was announced, with the Dodgers, Braves and Phillies leading both leagues with five selections as the midsummer classic approaches in Philadelphia on July 14.

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 14, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, concluding a weekend of events that includes the draft, the Futures Game and the Home Run Derby. Fan voting determined the starters, giving Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani and Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement the top votes in the National and American Leagues, respectively, allowing them to bypass the second voting round. The remaining spots were filled through player ballots and selections by the commissioner's office.

Both the National and American Leagues will be managed by the managers of the teams that won last season’s league championships, with Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts taking the National League and Blue Jays manager John Schneider leading the American League. Each will name a starting pitcher in the coming days.

The Dodgers, Braves and Phillies each have five players on the rosters, the highest totals among all clubs. In the American League, the Yankees, Blue Jays and Rays each have four representatives, while every MLB team has at least one All-Star.

American League starters include catcher Shea Langeliers (Athletics), first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays, who declined to play due to back discomfort), second baseman Ernie Clement (Blue Jays), shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (Royals), third baseman Junior Caminero (Rays) and outfielders Mike Trout (Angels), Byron Buxton (Twins) and Aaron Judge (Yankees, injured and will not play). Designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (Astros) rounds out the starters.

The National League starters feature catcher Drake Baldwin (Braves), first baseman Freddie Freeman (Dodgers), second baseman Ozzie Albies (Braves), shortstop CJ Abrams (Nationals), third baseman Max Muncy (Dodgers) and outfielders Brandon Marsh (Phillies), Juan Soto (Mets) and Andy Pages (Dodgers). Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers) is listed as the designated hitter after leading the NL vote.

Reserves and pitchers for both leagues were also announced, completing the full rosters for the midsummer classic.
