Social media user questions authenticity of books on new Air Force One

Summary

A user on X highlighted that the books displayed on the newly delivered Air Force One appear to be dummy titles, prompting discussion about the aircraft's interior.

A social media user pointed out that the bookshelf shown in photos of the newly delivered Air Force One appears to contain dummy books labeled only with the word “LIBRARY.” The observation was made after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted images of herself and President Donald Trump aboard the aircraft on X.

Leavitt wrote, "What a privilege to be aboard the inaugural flight on the brand new Air Force One! A truly unforgettable day. ✈️🇺🇸," accompanying the photos that show a table with a wall-mounted screen and shelves of books behind it.

"Of course a plane full of people who have never read a book has a bookshelf of fake books with titles like ‘Library'," wrote X user @nickmmark, who identifies as a podcaster.

Other commenters suggested the faux books might be a weight-saving measure. The aircraft, a retrofitted Boeing 747-800 gifted by Qatar, made its first flight on Wednesday and has been the subject of political debate, with some lawmakers urging the administration to reject the gift. President Trump has described the plane as the “world’s most luxurious plane.”
