German Prosecutors Charge Ukrainian National Over Nord Stream Sabotage
German federal prosecutors charged a 50-year-old Ukrainian national with directing the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines after his extradition from Italy, DW reported. The indictment alleges he headed a team that damaged all three Nord Stream lines. Prosecutors say the sabotage was carried out against the pipelines.
The suspect had been arrested in Italy earlier this year before being transferred to German authorities. The charges were submitted to a German federal court as part of the investigation.
