Lakers sign guards Collin Sexton, Quentin Grimes and center Sandro Mamukelashvili
Los Angeles added guard Collin Sexton, guard Quentin Grimes and center Sandro Mamukelashvili to bolster depth after a reported trade for Walker Kessler.
Los Angeles announced agreements with guards Collin Sexton and Quentin Grimes and center Sandro Mamukelashvili as part of a series of roster moves following a reported trade that would bring Walker Kessler to the team. Sexton, who split last season between the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets, posted averages of 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Grimes, a reserve for the Philadelphia 76ers, contributed 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Mamukelashvili recorded career-high numbers with the Toronto Raptors, averaging 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists, though his production fell to 5 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist in the recent playoffs against Cleveland.
The additions are intended to provide the Lakers with additional depth in both the backcourt and frontcourt.
