Trump launches Qatar-gifted Air Force One on inaugural flight
CNN reported that President Donald Trump boarded the Qatar-donated Boeing 747-800, beginning its inaugural flight as Air Force One, and praised the gift. He said the United States could not build a comparable aircraft. AP later noted that Trump took the retrofitted 747 on its first official trip, heading toward North Dakota for the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
The aircraft, valued at $400 million, had been converted for presidential use. The flight marked the first time the Qatar-gifted jet served as the president’s official transport.
