Wizards Expected to Take AJ Dybantsa First as Jazz, Grizzlies Target Peterson and Boozer

USA Today reported that the Washington Wizards are expected to pick forward AJ Dybantsa with the first overall selection in the upcoming NBA draft, which is slated to be held in Brooklyn. SB Nation’s updated mock draft also placed Dybantsa among the top prospects and projected him at No.  1.

Yahoo Sports noted that the draft will take place in Brooklyn and highlighted the Wizards’ lottery win as giving them the top pick. CBS Sports cited league sources saying the Utah Jazz are likely to select Darryn Peterson and the Memphis Grizzlies are projected to take Cameron Boozer in the first round. Yahoo Sports also mentioned speculation about a possible Giannis Antetokounmpo trade that could affect other teams’ selections.
