FBI arrests five men plotting drone and sniper attack on White House UFC event
The FBI arrested five men who had plotted to use drones and a sniper team to attack an invite-only UFC fight on the White House lawn. The bureau said the suspects were detained in a multi-state operation after uncovering an online conspiracy to target the UFC America 250 event. According to the FBI, investigators also identified a broader network of individuals connected to the plot.
The Department of Justice later charged the five men with conspiracy to commit murder, as reported by the BBC. Federal officials added that the plot involved explosive-laden drones and a coordinated sniper assault. WLWT noted that additional suspects remain at large.
